Frequently Asked Questions

When will I Receive My Order?

  • We use express shipping on all of our orders within South Africa. You can expect delivery within 2-4 working days once we have received your payment. Once the order has been packed & fulfilled, you will get a tracking number to trace the delivery time.

  • Paarl and surrounds: Up to 2-Day Delivery.

  • Western Cape: Up to 3-Day Delivery.

  • Every Other Province: Up to 4-Day Delivery.

  

How Is My Order Packaged?

  • Each order is hand-picked & packed in traditional, breathable & recyclable paper bags to prolong the shelf life to up to 10-days; although we suggest eating our biltong within 3-5 days for maximum flavour profiles, moisture & taste. We included a food certified medical-grade 'ice pack' to each order to combat heat & moisture during delivery where needed. 

How Should I Store My Biltong?

  • Dryer Climates can keep their biltong in the recyclable paper bags & kept in a cool dry place like a cupboard.

  • Humid Climates should keep their biltong in the recyclable paper bags & kept in a fridge.

  • Extended Storage Periods of up to 3-months; the biltong can be stored & frozen within a plastic bag in the freezer. Biltong can then be taken out the freezer and within 1-hour of thawing - it should usually be ready to be eaten at a preferred temperature again.

Is the biltong Gluten Free?

  • Yes, our biltong is Gluten Free.

How Can We Pay?

  • We currently offer PayFast as our Primary Secured Payment Gateway which allows you to pay using Credit & Cheque Cards, Instant EFT, MobiCred, MasterPass, SnapScan, Zapper & Debit Card. Read more about it here on our PayFast Payment Page.

What are the shipping options?

  • As per Our Shipping Policy - We provide 1-4 Day Nationwide Delivery to your door, so that you have nothing to worry about. We have streamlined this process to minimize issues and provide a convenient experience, where you are kept in the loop at every checkpoint via Email or SMS.

What do I do if I want a Return?

  • Please note, due to the nature of our product - we do not offer any refunds/exchanges as per Our Return Policy unless:

  1. Within 30-minutes of receiving your order, an email was sent to kolskootdeli@gmail.com.

  2. Attached to the email include images of the package being received, as well as the product and the issues made visible.

  3. The item must be uneaten and the same weight as when received. 

  4. The package must be able to be sent back in its original packaging.

How do I make changes to an order I’ve already placed?

  • Please feel free to contact us at kolskootdeli@gmail.com to see if we can help you. There is usually a 15-30 Minute gap between when the order has been placed, packed & distributed. Unfortunately, once the order has left the premises - we cannot make any changes. 

Where are you located?

  • We are located in Paarl.

  • Our shop is located at Kolskoot, 535 Main road, Paarl.

  • Our Meat Processing Factory is located at Kolskoot, Welgegund Farm, Denneboom Rd, Klein Drakenstein, Paarl.
